Today, the Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team stood proudly alongside our community to honour and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during the First and Second World Wars, and all those who have served and continue to serve our country.

Remembrance Day is a time for reflection — a moment to pause and pay tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom, and to think of those who continue to serve with courage and dedication. Across Shirebrook, people gathered to remember the fallen, to honour the wounded, and to pray for peace. It was a powerful reminder that community is not just about where we live, but about standing together in unity, respect, and gratitude.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in today’s Remembrance parade and service. Your presence and support show the strength and spirit of our community.
